| Dear
Taryn, can you please tell me if you can collect and cremate my
rabbit and when the time comes, my cat. I was given your email
address by a friend and I just thought I would ask.
Yes I can collect most pets both small and
large including dogs, cats, rabbits, birds etc. All pets are treated
gently and with care and respect. |
Hi
Taryn, do you mind if our family gives you a letter to go with our
beautiful pet? Of course
I don't mind,
in fact many people I have collected pets from
write poems, draw pictures or put photos in the basket with their
loved pet and I ensure your tributes stay with your pet on their
final journey. |
| Taryn,
Will I have to go to the vet to collect my boys ashes once he has
been cremated because I really don't want to go back there.
We personally deliver all our clients pets ashes back to
you either at your home or some pet owners have preferred to meet
us at a pretty park or garden. Just let me know and I will make
arrangements. |
| Hello
Taryn, do you know any vets who will come to my home to euthanize
my pet because I would prefer her to be in her own environment. Many
vets will come to your home if you ask them however give me a
tingle and I will pass on the numbers of two vets who do home
visits. My mobile is 0415 487 655. |
| Hi
Taryn, my partner and I work in the day and we wondered if you
were able to come and collect our pet from our home in the
evening? Yes,
due to a large number of pet owners both working full time, I see
a great many clients in the evenings. |
| Dear
Taryn, Although I am feeling really guilty, I'm not able to be at
the vets when you are collecting my Sasha... I
have met many pet owners who have been unable to meet with me at
their vet when I have collected their loved pet. Some are just so
upset and have already said their goodbyes, they prefer not to be
there and others have work commitments they are unable to get away
from and others have been away. Once I am at a vets I ALWAYS
call you to let you know that I have your fur baby with me. This
enables you to take that deep breath and have that final peace of
mind knowing your pet is now on it's final journey in caring
hands. |
Hi
Taryn, my pet is very old and a friend told me that if she passes
away at home I have to take her to the vet? Is that true?
No not at all. I offer any
clients who may be in this situation of a pet passing away at home
to give me a call on
0415 487655 and I will try to calm the
situation and explain what to do. |
| Hello
Taryn, I am very glad to say that my gorgeous beagle is still with
us however because he is an elderly gentle creature, I just
wondered how much notice I should give you if I have to take him
to the vets in the coming months. It's
always helpful if you are able to give me a few days notice,
however due to the nature of nature, it's not always possible, so
just call as soon as you need us. |
Hi
Taryn, I have a young family and I just wanted your advise on how
best to involve my children in saying goodbye to our very much
loved family pet.
If you would like to
give me a call on 0417 77 096 I would be happy to have a chat
about the various idea's other families have done when saying
goodbye to a much loved member of their family.
In brief: In my experience, for children to see that mum and dad are
expressing their grief in a healthy, caring and loving manner
helps the children to express their grief too. Having lots of hugs
and cuddles and talking about how much they love their pet and
creating little jobs for the children to do before I arrive, all
goes to helping the children feel a part of their pets final day.
It is a very sad and deeply painful time, however I have spent
time with families who have been giggling between their tears
telling me of all the funny things their pet did during it's life
and proudly show off lots of photos or ribbons and tell me stories
about how special their pet has been to them. Ensuring the
lines of communication are open if children wish to chat seems to
be very helpful in dealing with grief. |
| Hi
Taryn, my dog is quite old and frail and sadly I have to go
overseas for a few weeks and he will be placed in a kennel. Do you
mind if I leave the kennel people your name and number to call if
he passes away while I am gone and I will leave my payment details
with them too? Not sure if this is what to do?
Yes this is exactly what to do. In the past we have had similar
arrangements made by other pet owners and it gave them the peace
of mind to be able to go away knowing if their pet should pass
away, we have been alerted and prepared and their pet is going to
be looked after in a respectful, caring and loving manner. |
